Here's a truth that cuts to the core: whatever you value most is what you'll worry about most. If your treasure is your career, you'll constantly worry about job security. If your treasure is your appearance, you'll worry about aging. If your treasure is your reputation, you'll worry about what people think. If your treasure is money, you'll never have enough.
This is why Jesus warns against storing up treasures on earth—not because possessions are evil, but because earthly treasures are temporary and unstable. Moths corrupt them, rust destroys them, thieves steal them. When our treasure is earthly, our worry is inevitable.
But when we treasure what God treasures—His kingdom, His righteousness, His purposes—our worry diminishes. Not because life becomes easier, but because we're invested in something eternal, something that cannot be taken away.

What do I treasure most? Is my worry revealing that my treasure is in the wrong place?
Action Step
Identify one earthly treasure that's been causing you worry. Ask God to help you hold it loosely and treasure His kingdom more.
Prayer
Lord, align my values with Your kingdom. Help me to treasure what You treasure and to hold earthly things loosely. Free me from the worry that comes from misplaced treasure. Amen.
