Reflection

Four times in just a few verses, Scripture declares: "The Lord was with Joseph." This wasn't just a nice sentiment—it was the defining reality of his life. God's presence followed Joseph through betrayal, slavery, false accusation, and imprisonment. And wherever Joseph went, prosperity followed—not just for him, but for everyone around him.

When Joseph committed everything to the Lord, God prospered everything he touched. Potiphar prospered. Eventually all of Egypt prospered. Joseph's family prospered. This is the miracle of faithful stewardship: when you manage God's resources according to His purposes, blessing multiplies beyond your own life.

The presence of God changes everything. It meant God was able to help Joseph when he was mistreated, when circumstances seemed hopeless, when forgiveness seemed impossible. The same presence is available to you today. God doesn't just give you resources and walk away—He walks with you, giving you success in everything you do when you remain faithful to Him.

You may feel like you have nothing of your own, just like Joseph in Potiphar's house. But when you're faithful with what's been entrusted to you, God can multiply blessing in ways you never imagined. The key is His presence, His partnership, His power working through your faithfulness.

Am I aware of God's presence in my daily decisions about time, money, and resources?

Throughout today, pause hourly and acknowledge God's presence with you, asking Him to guide your stewardship in that moment.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for Your promise to never leave me or forsake me. Just as You were with Joseph, You are with me. Help me live in constant awareness of Your presence. Prosper the work of my hands not for my glory but for Yours. May my faithful stewardship bring blessing to others and point them to You. Let everything I touch today prosper for Your kingdom purposes. Amen.
