"The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field." Matthew 13:24
Reflection
In a world where evil seems to flourish and good efforts appear futile, Jesus reminds us of a profound truth: the Son of Man is always sowing good seed. As the ultimate sower, Christ doesn't grow weary or discouraged by the presence of weeds. He continues His work of redemption, planting seeds of hope, love, and transformation in the field of this world.
God's work is continuous and purposeful. Even when we can't see immediate results - even when the enemy seems to be gaining ground - the divine sower never stops His redemptive work. This should encourage us in our own calling to be co-laborers with Christ, scattering seeds of kindness, truth, and grace wherever we go.
Perseverance begins with recognizing that we serve a God who doesn't give up. His commitment to sowing good in this world is unwavering, regardless of opposition or apparent setbacks. When we feel discouraged by the state of our communities, families, or personal struggles, we must remember that the Son of Man is actively working, planting seeds that will eventually bear fruit.
Our role is not to judge the effectiveness of the sowing or to worry about the weeds. Our role is to join Him in the work, trusting that every act of love, every word of encouragement, every gesture of mercy is a seed planted in God's great field. The harvest may not come immediately, but it will come.
