Reflection
What does your life smell like to God? It's a strange question, but a profound one. Scripture tells us that God has a sense of smell -- not in a physical sense, but in the sense that He perceives the quality of what we offer Him. When Noah made his sacrifice after the flood, God smelled the pleasing aroma and it represented something far deeper than burning wood and animal -- it represented a heart fully surrendered and dependent on the living God.
We live in a world of air fresheners and small gestures. We light a candle of gratitude here, spray a little praise there, and think we've done our part. But God is not looking for the faint scent of occasional thanksgiving. He is looking for a life so saturated with love and surrender that the fragrance fills every room it enters -- the workplace, the neighborhood, the family dinner table.
Mary of Bethany understood this. When she broke her alabaster jar and poured out everything she had at Jesus' feet, the whole house was filled. Not one corner was left untouched. That is the kind of offering God is calling you toward -- not a moment of gratitude, but a life of it.

Pause three times today -- morning, noon, and evening -- and simply say aloud, "Lord, I offer this moment to You."
Prayer
Father, I confess that too often my gratitude is small and my surrender is partial. Today I want to be more than a scent maker. Fill me with such an awareness of Your love that my life begins to smell like Yours. May everything I do today rise to You as a pleasing offering. Amen.
