Scripture of the Day
“He uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere like a sweet perfume. Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God.” — 2 Corinthians 2:14-15
Reflection
Perfume, by its nature, does not stay contained. When Mary broke her jar, no one in that house could avoid the fragrance -- not even those who disapproved of what she was doing. Judas complained, but he still smelled it. The fragrance of a genuinely surrendered life operates the same way. It spreads without announcement, without strategy, without the effort of performance.
Paul's image in 2 Corinthians is striking: God leads us in a kind of triumphal procession, and as we go, the fragrance of the knowledge of Christ spreads everywhere we pass. We are not the source of the fragrance -- Christ is. We are simply the vessels that carry it into the rooms and streets and workplaces where people who have never smelled it before encounter it for the first time.
This means that the most powerful evangelism may not be an argument or a program but simply a life so saturated in Christ that people in your proximity begin to sense something they cannot quite name. They know you have been somewhere they haven't. They smell something different on you. And some of them will ask.

Who in your daily life -- coworker, neighbor, family member -- might be encountering the fragrance of Christ primarily through you?
Action Step
Pray by name for three people in your life who do not yet know Christ, asking God to use your proximity to them as a form of fragrant witness.
Prayer
Lord, I want to carry Your fragrance into every room I enter today. Not through performance or pressure, but through a life that has been with You. Use me as a vessel of the knowledge of Christ. Let people sense something different -- something true and beautiful -- when they are near me. Amen.
