"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." — Matthew 6:33
Reflection
This is the culmination of Jesus' teaching on worry. The antidote isn't just stopping worry—it's replacing it with a higher purpose.
When we seek God's kingdom first, worry loses its grip because we realize our life is about something bigger than ourselves. We're not just trying to survive; we're part of God's grand story of redemption. We're agents of His love, His justice, His mercy, His grace.
This doesn't mean we ignore practical needs—Jesus promises "all these things will be given to you as well." But it means we stop making those needs our primary focus.
When your purpose is aligned with God's kingdom, your perspective changes. The job interview becomes an opportunity to represent Christ. The financial struggle becomes a chance to trust and witness God's provision. The relationship conflict becomes an occasion to demonstrate grace.
Seeking God's kingdom first transforms worry into worship, anxiety into anticipation of what God will do.
