Prayer for Overcoming Shame

A companion prayer to the Overcoming Shame Daily Devotion.

"Whoever is ashamed of me and my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of them when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels." Luke 9:26 (NIV)

Jesus, forgive me for the times I've been ashamed of You or remained silent when I should have spoken. Fill me with boldness to live authentically as Your follower. Help me remember that You were never ashamed of me, even when I was Your enemy. Give me courage to stand with You regardless of the cost. Amen.
