Prayer for Overcoming Joy Thieves

A companion prayer to the Overcoming Joy Thieves Daily Devotion.

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again, rejoice!" - Philippians 4:4

Lord Jesus, forgive me for allowing temporary circumstances, comparisons, or past regrets to steal the joy You died to give me. Teach me to find my gladness not in changing situations but in Your unchanging presence. Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit that I might experience the fruit of joy even in difficult seasons. Help me to focus not on what's wrong with my world but on what's right with You. When joy thieves come to rob me, remind me that in You I have a treasure they cannot touch. In Your name I pray, Amen.
