Prayer for Leaving the Jar Behind

A companion prayer to the Leaving the Jar Behind Daily Devotion.

"But whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life." — John 4:14 (NIV)

Jesus, I come to you today with my jar. I confess the places where I have looked for satisfaction in things that cannot satisfy. I am tired of the back and forth. I want what you offered the woman at the well—living water that truly fills. Help me leave behind what is empty and receive what is real. Amen.
