Prayer for Forget Yourself and Live for Others

A companion prayer to the Forget Yourself and Live for Others Daily Devotion.

"Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously." - 2 Corinthians 9:6 (NIV)

Father, remove me from the throne of my own heart and establish Jesus there permanently. Forgive my selfishness and self-focus. Teach me the joy of generous living. Help me forget myself and live for You and for others. Use my life, however short or long, to plant seeds for Your kingdom that will bear fruit beyond what I can see. Make me faithful, generous, and joyful in stewardship. Everything belongs to You—may I live like I believe it. Amen.
