Prayer for Being Filled with the Spirit, Overflowing with Joy

A companion prayer to the Filled with the Spirit, Overflowing with Joy Daily Devotion.

"The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy..." - Galatians 5:22

Heavenly Father, I confess that too often I've tried to manufacture joy through my own efforts or find it in changing circumstances. Thank You that true joy is Your gift through the Holy Spirit. I ask You now to fill me completely with Your Spirit—not just for my happiness but for Your glory. Remove anything that hinders the Spirit's work in my life. Help me to yield control of my attitudes, words, and actions to Your gentle leading. May the joy of Your Spirit be so evident in my life that others are drawn to You through me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
