"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” — Ephesians 2:8 NIV" .
Reflection
One of the greatest truths of the gospel is grace. Grace means God gives us what we could never earn. His love is not based on our perfection, performance, or achievements. Salvation is His gift.
Many people live exhausted because they are constantly trying to prove themselves. They strive for approval, validation, and acceptance. Even spiritually, it can become easy to believe that God only loves us when we perform well.
But the gospel tells a different story.
Paul’s singular focus on Christ allowed him to live from grace instead of striving. He knew he was deeply loved by God, not because of his accomplishments, but because of Jesus. That truth transformed the way he lived.
Grace frees you from the endless pressure to measure up. It reminds you that your identity is secure in Christ. You no longer have to build your worth on success, appearance, popularity, or comparison.
Living with singular focus means returning daily to the truth that Jesus is enough. His grace sustains you when you fail, strengthens you when you are weak, and reminds you that God is still working in your life.
The more you understand grace, the more gratitude fills your heart. You stop trying to earn what Jesus already purchased through the cross.

What areas of your life reveal a tendency to earn approval instead of resting in God’s grace?
Action Step
Write down three truths about your identity in Christ and meditate on them throughout the day.
Prayer
Father, thank You for Your grace. Help me stop striving for approval and rest fully in the love You freely give through Jesus Christ. Amen.
