Reflection
The author and speaker Bob Goff once dared a student named John to spin the globe, let his finger stop on one place, and go there to serve.
John went to Uganda. There he helped open a school and change the lives of hundreds of children.
He did not have a perfect plan. He had a willingness to go off the map.
You may not be called to Uganda, but you are called. You are called to your street, your office, your school, your gym, your neighbor's fire pit.
Everyday missionaries do not need a plane ticket; they need availability and the willingness to do things differently—to be filled with living water, to be authentic, to cross barriers, to start conversations.
The living water that flows through you does not stay contained. It seeks people out. It does not recognize boundaries. It is relentless in pursuing people with God's love. One conversation can change a life—maybe even a community, maybe even a nation.
Action Step
Write down the names of three people in your everyday life—where you live, work, play, or study—who need the living water of Christ. Commit to praying for them daily this week. Then ask God to open one natural, authentic conversation with at least one of them. Don't script it. Just show up and stay open.
Prayer
Lord, here I am. I am willing to go off the map—not to Africa necessarily, but to the uncomfortable conversations, the crossed barriers, the people I have been ignoring. Fill me with your living water until it overflows. Make me an everyday missionary in the places you have already put me. Use my ordinary life for your extraordinary purposes. Amen.
