"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV)
Reflection
God's comfort in our brokenness isn't meant to end with us. The healing we receive through prayer and God's presence becomes a source of strength to help others who are grieving. This is one of the most beautiful aspects of how God works—He transforms our pain into purpose, our mourning into ministry.
When we've experienced God's comfort in our darkest valleys, we become uniquely qualified to offer that same comfort to others walking similar paths. Our prayers have taught us where to find hope, how to sense God's presence, and what brings true comfort in times of sorrow.
This cycle of comfort—receiving it from God and giving it to others—creates a community of healing where no one grieves alone. Through prayer, we not only find comfort for ourselves but also wisdom and compassion to comfort others effectively.
Looking around us, we can see broken hearts everywhere—people grieving losses of health, home, loved ones, dreams, and hope. The question becomes: Do we care enough to be God's agents of comfort? Prayer prepares our hearts to see others' pain and respond with the same compassion God has shown us.

Prayer
God of all comfort, thank You for the ways You've comforted me in my troubles. Help me not to hoard Your comfort but to share it generously with others who are hurting. Open my eyes to see the broken hearts around me and give me wisdom to offer the same comfort I've received from You. Use my pain to bring healing to others. Amen.
