Reflection
Most people enter a new season with carefully arranged plans. We create goals, schedules, and timelines for what we hope life will become. Planning itself is not wrong—God is purposeful and intentional. But problems arise when our plans become more important than God’s direction.
Paul understood this tension well. He often made plans to travel and minister, yet many times God redirected him. Instead of becoming frustrated, Paul trusted that God’s purposes were greater than his own. His singular focus was never merely accomplishing personal goals; it was following Christ wherever He led.
A spiritually focused life remains flexible in God’s hands.
Sometimes God closes doors we desperately wanted opened. Other times He interrupts our carefully constructed timelines. In those moments, we discover whether our confidence rests in our plans or in God Himself.
Singular devotion to Christ means trusting Him even when life unfolds differently than expected. It means believing that God sees what you cannot see. His delays are not accidents. His redirections are not punishments. He is establishing your steps according to a greater purpose.
When your heart is fixed on Jesus, disappointments no longer have the power to destroy your peace. You can move forward confidently, knowing God is still leading your life.
The safest place to be is not where everything goes according to your plan—it is wherever God is guiding you.

Father, help me trust Your direction more than my own understanding. Give me peace when plans change and confidence that You are leading my steps. Amen.
