“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” – Psalm 73:26
Reflection
Are you tired? Life is exhausting. But you don’t have to run on your own strength. God's power is not only for emergencies — it’s for everyday endurance. Hudson Taylor once said, “I am so weak I can no longer work... I can only lie still in the arms of God, like a little child.”
That image is key: dependence is not weakness, it’s wisdom. It’s knowing where real strength comes from — and choosing to rely on it.
Prayer
Lord, I’m tired. But You are not. Be my strength today. Carry me in Your arms. Empower me to do what I cannot do on my own. Amen.
See here to share just this Prayer for Depending on God's Strength.
Today's Challenge
Catch yourself in a moment of frustration today and intentionally lean on God’s strength.
Action Steps:
- Begin the day with this breath prayer: “You are my strength.”
- Listen to a worship song about God’s power (e.g., “You Never Let Go”).
- Take a walk and reflect on one area where you need God’s strength.
