“Seek first the kingdom of God... and all these things will be given to you as well.” – Matthew 6:33
Reflection
Most of us worry about money, the future, or security. Jesus tells us plainly: don’t chase those things first. Dependence means seeking God’s kingdom — and trusting Him to handle your needs.
Everything we have is on loan from God. Even the ability to work or think comes from Him. The lie of self-sufficiency tells us it’s all up to us. But dependence says, “God, I trust You as my source.”
Prayer
Father, You are my provider. Forgive me when I trust in paychecks or possessions more than I trust in You. Help me to live generously and confidently in Your care. Amen.

Give something away today — time, money, or attention — as a declaration of trust.
Action Steps:
- Write down how God has provided for you in the past year.
- Give to someone without expecting anything in return.
- Choose to thank God aloud before checking your bank account or bills.
