Reflection
One of the most beautiful truths of the gospel is that believers belong to Jesus. You are not forgotten, abandoned, or overlooked. Through Christ, God has welcomed you into His family.
Many people spend their lives searching for identity and acceptance. They try to find belonging through relationships, achievements, popularity, or success. But none of those things can fully satisfy the deep longing of the human heart.
Your true identity is found in Christ alone.
Paul reminded the Romans that they were "called to belong" to Jesus. This calling was not based on their accomplishments or background. It was rooted entirely in God’s grace.
A singular spiritual focus changes how you view yourself. Instead of defining your life by failures, fears, or comparison, you begin living from the security of being loved by God.
When you know you belong to Christ, you stop chasing approval from everyone else. You no longer need to prove your worth constantly because your identity is already secure in Him.
Belonging to Jesus also means your life has purpose. God has called you to reflect His love, represent His kingdom, and participate in His mission in the world.
You are not an accident. You are chosen, loved, and called by God.

Read Romans 8 today and underline every truth that describes your identity in Christ.

Father, thank You that I belong to You. Help me find my identity fully in Christ and not in the opinions of others. Amen.
